I'm A Bad Blogger

Oh my goodness...I am really a bad blogger, I haven't wrote anything in almost a month...But to my defense it has been a busy month for me...My youngest son Jeremy got married on July 9th....Our anniversary was July 4th, so the whole week was one big celebration...Starting on Wednesday, July 6th the wedding festivities began with a BBQ...On Thursday was the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, Friday was girl's day out for medi/pedi and lunch while the guys went golfing...My hubby didn't golf so he took our grandson and ring bearer and drove around the course with the guys...Jackson had a great time with all guys, they even let him tee off a couple of times...Saturday was the big day, all the girl's (except me) with to Stephanie parents house to get their hair and make-up done..The salon that I do to did their hair & make-up and I just went to the salon to get mine done...Then it was off to put my hubby & son John up at the Hotel duPont...They had dropped off their cars and checked-in for our stay after the wedding...Then we went to get dressed at Jeremy's house, had a bite to eat and got picked up by the limo bus...The church was beautiful a decorated with flowers...It was a bitter sweet day for both of our families..Stephanie's father died from Lung Cancer last October and she didn't want anyone to walk her down the aisle...Our daughter, Jenni died in an auto accident in October, 1997 and Jeremy and Jenni were very close...It was a lovely ceremony...After all the pictures were taken, it was off to duPont Country Club for the reception...I never seen anyone danced this much at a wedding...From the time of the first dance to the last song the dance floor was filled with people...It was so cute to see our granddaughter, Madison dance through the crowd of people, she really had a good time...The party was over a little after 11pm and a shuttle was waiting for those who was staying at the hotel...We took the kids to our room, so my son John and daughter in law Robin could go down to the bar with his brother Jeremy and Stephanie and the rest of the group to party on...The next day we all had breakfast and then home to relax....Jeremy & Stephanie left for their honeymoon on Monday to Panama City, Panama for 10 days...They got back home last night at midnight, but I didn't get to talk to him only a text...Here are some pictures with more to come:

We Had A Sad Day Yesterday

Yesterday was the worst day in my life...Our German Shepard Maya got into my bottle of Advil last Monday...She loves to take things and chew on them...She was laying on our bed while I was taken a shower...When I got out of the shower, I heard her playing with something downstairs and I just thought it was her bone...To my surprise, she had taken the bottle of Advil off of my night stand and was playing with it...She had the bottle all chewed up and I didn't think she had taken any, since she had the opening shut tight...I called my husband and he said she should be fine, since I didn't think she took that many...But later in the afternoon, I notice that she wasn't herself...I called the vet and was told to bring her in right away...They pumped her stomach and gave us some meds for her to take...She would only take the meds for the first 2 days and then she stopped eating...Maya had some good days and we thought that she was alright...We brought her back to the vets for a blood test to make sure everything was okay...The Vet told us it would take an hour, so we went home to wait for their call....It was a call that I dreaded....The Vet said her reading were really high and that they could pump some fluids in her, but she would also need an operation for the damage in her stomach....The Vet told my husband that after they did all of this, that it wasn't a 100% chance that she would be okay, and suggested that we put her down...So my hubby and I went back to the vet to say our good byes to her...It broke my heart to leave her there....Maya was only 18 months old and we will truly miss her....
